The safety performance of Automotive wiring harness should be fully guaranteed. Once the automobile wiring harness has problems, it will affect the normal operation of vehicle functions. Therefore, the causes of automobile wiring harness damage in the use of automobile wiring harness should be analyzed specifically and measures should be taken in time.

The reasons for the damage of automobile wiring harness are as follows:

1. The wire is not selected according to the regulations (the wire is too thin) when changing the wire harness of the automobile. When the large current passes through, the large voltage drop will generate and the wire surface will be aged and damaged gradually;

2. Careless installation of the battery, the positive and negative polarity are reversed, the alternator internal short circuit, the insulation gasket and insulation sleeve damage, the alternator magnetic field wire and grounding wire are reversed, which will cause the wiring harness to burn;

3. Car wiring harness is often fixed by thin iron pickup, its edge is sharp like a knife edge, and there is no insulation measures on the surface of the iron pick-up card. The vehicle vibrates and bumps during long-term driving, and the power wiring harness will inevitably be worn and cut to ground, causing the wiring harness to burn;

4. When the vehicle harness is temporarily connected to electrical equipment, the current inlet and outlet of fuse are not clear, that is, the power line is led out at will, or after the fuse is burned, the fuse with the same specification is not replaced according to the requirements, or the fuse is replaced by thick copper wire, and the harness is burned out due to loss of protection function;

5. The two terminals of ammeter are usually made of plastic insulating sleeve, which has poor heat dissipation. It has to bear the current as well as the bumps and vibrations. If the wiring of the ammeter is loose or the contact is not good, the temperature will rise, which will lead to the melting of the plastic and grounding, resulting in the burning of the wiring harness;

6. The connection of the connecting post is not reliable, which will generate large pressure drop and generate heat. After a long time, the insulating gasket will be damaged and the grounding will be short circuited. Pay attention to the connection post behind the ammeter and other instruments. In addition, the wire connecting screw fixed on the frame wiring board should not be too long, so as to avoid grounding and burning the harness.
