For how to prevent the electronic wire harness from water, according to the causes, we need to improve from the following aspects.

1. For the connector used in humid environment, the waterproof connector with protection grade of ipx7 or above shall be selected.

2. The connector shall be selected according to its design specification, and the wire diameter exceeding or smaller than that specified by the connector shall not be selected.

3. When the wire number is designed, the wires in the waterproof connector can not be double pressed. If it is really necessary, the double pressure can be changed to punch in the single line after the waterproof connector, and the single line can enter the waterproof connector for protection.

4. The waterproof terminal is crimped with special crimping die, and the crimping position of waterproof bolt is reasonable. After crimping, the PVC wire can be seen at the crimping position of waterproof bolt close to copper wire, and the crimping shape of waterproof bolt is encircled without damage.

5. In order to avoid wire siphon, attention should be paid to the following aspects

(1) The waterproof sheath of electrical module is installed higher than the grounding point;

(2) For the water inflow caused by siphon, the connection point and grounding point in the wet area should be insulated and sealed to avoid siphon water from this position. The most economical and effective method is to use double wall heat shrinkable tube for insulation sealing.
