Electronic wire harness in the whole process of operation, due to a variety of reasons and common faults. Common faults include poor contact of connector, short circuit fault in the middle of transmission line, short circuit, grounding, etc. So what are the common faults of electronic wiring harness?

1、 Of course, embrittlement or damage, the use time of electronic harness has exceeded the application limit, the cable sheath of vehicle harness has just begun to crack gradually, and the impact toughness has just begun to decrease. After a long time, it is very easy to cause common faults such as short circuit fault, short circuit and grounding between cable lines.

2、 The air oxidation of the wiring terminal of the vehicle harness, when the wiring terminal of the vehicle harness is completely oxidized by the air or has been deformed for a long time, it will also lead to poor contact or short circuit fault of the whole vehicle harness, and then cause the common faults of the whole vehicle harness.

3、 Electrical equipment has common faults, there is also a situation is due to electrical equipment overload operation, short circuit fault, resulting in vehicle wiring harness caused by common faults.

4、 Due to human factors, the last common fault is due to human factors, such as unscientific installation position of vehicle wiring harness, incorrect wiring of vehicle harness and electrical equipment, and damage of vehicle harness components during maintenance.

Inspection methods for common faults of electronic wiring harness:

Grounding: the regularity of electronic harness burnout is that in the power circuit of switching power management system, the electronic wiring harness will burn to where it is grounded, and the connection between the burned and the intact position can ground the cable at this point; if the wiring harness of electronic devices is burned to the wiring position of an electrical equipment, the common faults of the electrical equipment will be marked.

Short circuit fault: the electronic harness is pinched and impacted by the outside world, which leads to the damage of the cable sheath in the electronic harness, and the short circuit fault in the middle of the cable, which makes some electrical equipment unable to control and the safety wire is broken.

When distinguishing, the detachable electrical equipment and the electronic harness connector on both sides of the power switch are used to check the short circuit fault of the line with the watt hour meter or test lamp.

Short circuit: transmission line short circuit common fault, in addition to obvious crack phenomenon, rare common fault mostly occurs in the middle of transmission line and transmission line terminal. After the short circuit of some transmission lines, the outer cable sheath and the terminal block of the transmission line are intact, but the copper core cable in the transmission line is short circuited with the terminal block of the transmission line.

During the identification, the tensile test can be carried out on the conductor and the terminal of transmission line in question of short circuit. During the whole process of tensile test, if the sheath of transmission line and cable is gradually narrowed, it can be recognized that the transmission line has been short circuited. Poor line contact phenomenon, common faults often occur in the connector.

Bad contact phenomenon of connector: when common faults occur, electrical equipment can not work normally.

When identifying, connect the switching power supply of the electrical equipment, touch or drive the relevant connector of the electrical equipment. When touching a connector, the operation of the electrical equipment will be normal or abnormal, indicating that the connector has common faults.
